Me holding Cameron
Andrew napping
Jenny feeding Cameron
Today was a busy day for all. Jen and I were on the road at 9 a.m. She needed to go to Kaiser prior to babies since I needed to be in Bel Air by 2 at the latest.
After Kaiser we went to GBMC to see babies. When we walked into the room we were quite surprised at what we saw! They had a table there and within the next 10 minutes the boys were going to be circumcised! Needless to say, we hi-tailed it out of there!
The boys did really good. I think they did better than we did actually. When the nurse opened the diaper to take a look at how the surgery was doing, we were quite surprised at how much blood there actually was. But the boys were handling it like champs!
Today was the first day I got to hold Cameron. Normally Andrew gets fed first so they let Cameron sleep until it's his turn. So when Jen finishes feeding Andrew, I hold Andrew, while she moves on to Cameron. Once Cameron finishes then it's time for us to leave.
Originally Jen was coming home yesterday, but once she saw the boys were being circumcised she couldn't leave. She had to stay and be with them! I totally understood, just like everybody else does!
I was able to hold Cameron for quite a while. He is just so adorable, just like Andrew of course!
I finally left around 12:45 so I could get to Bel Air in time to get my stitches out (they were supposed to come out on Monday! just didn't have time to get it done!) After stitches I met Bob for coffee and we decided it would be best for me to come back here to help out Jon & Jen. Jon needed to grab the baby car seat before he left for the hospital for the 5 o'clock feeding which meant there really was no time for walking and feeding Charlie and Sam. I really didn't mind at all. I'm feeling pretty exhausted and was ready for some down time!
The J-Team (name given to them by Jon's family) left after feeding babies and went and did some shopping. It's very possible the babies could be home no later than Monday probably!
Today Bill and Bob went through a lot of pictures for his mom's service. They can bring 50 pictures to the funeral home and the funeral home will provide a slide show for them. They have almost gotten the obituary written also. So the boys are moving along! Thank goodness they have Julie around to help out also. She has been thinking of things that I haven't had time to think about and she has been providing meals for them at night. She has been quite the savior on my part! Thank you Julie!
