 FOXFIRE
1999 Lagoon Catamaran
Matt & Deanna's boat

They redid their floors and decided not to put
the saloon island back in - which gave them lots more room

Our sun setting tonight from FOXFIRE

Cockpit area - nice wooden table with shades around the
area to keep sun out of our eyes when setting

 Deanna cooking for us!

Matt & Deanna!

I'm trying to do the blog on Bob's computer and I can't figure out how to download the pictures from the camera.  The card won't slide into the computer slot so I need to plug in the camera.  I did.  It did not work. But the good news is, I found some more pictures while Derek and Shelley were here so I will be downloading them as soon as Bob gets up and shows me how to.

Today I didn't get off the boat until later in the afternoon when we went over to Matt's and Deanna's for dinner - and boy was it good!  We were at their place by 4 and came home around 7:45 so we were able to spend some quality time with them.  They are thinking about joining us tomorrow night for New Year's Eve.

I did a lot of cooking today.  There was a lot of leftovers from this past week that needed to be cooked before the food went bad.  It worked out pretty good though.  After cooking it all, I prepped it for the freezer: so now we have lots of good food waiting for us to eat at our convenience.

Bob took his bike ride and went over to the Publix grocery store again.  He found some bread there and totally loves it!  And, of course, let's not forget the newspaper!  On his way back, he filled the water jugs and now we are topped off with water again.

We played another game of cards last night and of course Bob kicked my butt as usual!  We didn't hit the sack until 11 p.m. tonight!  Tomorrow night we are going to try and make it to the golden hour of midnight.  Of course, this will involve a nap, after the Weinerdog Parade!

We are in Zippy headed for town
Derek and Shelley leave today :-(

Bringing back old memories for Derek

We are back at the Half Shell for lunch before they leave

There are some huge tarpon in the water here
and this dog wants them bad!

 Whatcha think this is?

 Quiet time for Derek

Scrappy and the Franklin's came in to say good-bye to D &Shelley

Even John and Loraine made it in!

Derek and Shelley came in with rain and clouds and they
left with rain and clouds...for some reason coming in felt
better than leaving!

The clouds are clearing and we have this beautiful rooster waiting
for us to take his picture!

This morning I went to get some water out of the cooler and when I opened it up I noticed there were some Henikens in there.  Like about a dozen of them.  We couldn't figure out where they came from and finally I talk to Matt & Deanna and they left them as a thank you.  Now that was sweet!

Bob and Derek ran around getting water, taking bicycles back, picking up stuff from the Franklin's, etc...while Shelley and I stayed back and did some cleaning and packing.  Once the boys got back we went into town for some lunch before Derek & Shelley left.

We got home around 5:30 and by 6 p.m. I was in bed.  I got up at 2:30 this morning and it is now 6:45 in the morning.  I am just now finishing the blog from the last 5 days.  I'll be going back to bed now!  After all, we have to be over at Matt's and Deanna's for dinner at 4 p.m. !

Here we are back at Laugerheads for a little sun before the game

Bob and I in the really, really cold water!

These these little guys are pets....the small red one is not very friendly....
at least to anyone but his dad!  The green one liked me.

Interesting character! with his two pups!

Me with the birds again!

We are heading for someplace to watch the game...we stop at
Schooner's Wharf and we see Ryan from a couple of years ago
this is his girlfriend....I never got to meet her....she was quite busy!

 Isn't he adorable!

Not enough TV's here to see our games!
But at least we got a photo op!

There's that character again with his pups!
He's a Browns fan!

Here we are at the Lazy Gecko again!
Different game this time!

Bob wants to know who's butt looks better !??

 Meet "Mini Cal" (Jon's dad)
At least Bob and I think he looks a lot like him...
he is also a Browns fan!

Gary is a Patriots fan and Shelley is a Bill's fan....
I guess we know who won!
Sorry Gary.

Hmmmm....I guess the Raven's beat the Brown's!
Sorry Mini Cal.

Another fan we hung out with....
who does he look like?

Now we are at the Smokin' Tuna for dinner

Shelley and Derek are treating us....not only for this dinner
but for many, many drinks and appetizer's while they were here!

I don't normally take pictures of food
but boy was this stuff good!

Another fun and busy day in Key West!  What a great time we have had this last week!

"De plane, de plane!"
There are many seaplanes here to take tourists around the island
and out to the Bahamas.
Now where is my sun!  I haven't seen much of it lately??!!

We are off to a late start this morning...
but we do have a conglomeration of leftovers for breakfast,
including the teeny, tiny fish Derek caught yesterday.  We
even let him cook it!  Shelley asked if I had any flour to throw on
the fish and of course I said "yes, and handed her a bag of
pancake batter!"  Whoops I forgot to mention that Shelley!

Then off to Lagerheads
It's a little beach at the end of Simonton Street

Then we meet up with the Franklin's here

Ended up walking downtown and having a beer or five!

  Then of course!  Paradise Pizza!

 Derek's like "where's mine!!??!"
He put that logo on his shirt
It's a fish with "Aboat Time" under it
Pretty sweet huh!

Me attempting to hold Derek still on someone else's bicycle!

Another great day in Key West with some great friends!

I made the mistake of telling Derek there were no fish in this water
so of course he had to be a show-off!  He says "Lynn the first thing you
need to do is take the poles down, then you put the line in the water
with a little teeny, tiny piece of bologna, then wa-la, you get a bunch
of little fish that you use to hook the big one!  Then....

Uh-oh...I think I might have the big one....

and he pulls up a nurse shark!  What a show-off!!

Another one of my little cuties!

This is a homeless guy sleeping and the chicken's keep plucking at his feet!

Bob had some running around to do so the three of us decide to
go bar hopping until he could join us....We are at Don's....can't you
tell by the sign that is hanging upside down behind them!

Santa loves Key West!

 Sitting outside at Fat Tuesday's

 Heading for the next bar....

Look!  It's the Smallest Bar in Key West!

We stop at one of our favorite places and Derek is having
way too much fun here!

 He's loving the hats!

 and again!

He decided this is his favorite and then see's the price tag....
all of a sudden it was like he was holding a piece of very expensive china
and he sits it back down where it came from....$409.95...whoops,
not gonna get this one!

 Turtle Kraals
Love the picture of Bob! He's bad!

Next place we stopped was Half Shell

And boy were they good!

So pretty down here!

And at the end of the night we feel great!

Another busy day here in Key West.  Bob had to go to the Verizon store to get a new internet card.  We couldn't keep a charge on our other one, even with it plugged in 24/7...then I had to go to the computer store because my computer got some kind of a bug or something...so Bob was supposed to become my "stand-in blogger" until I got my computer back...not!  So here it is 5:30 in the morning of the 30th and I'm playing catch-up!

Before coming home tonight we did hit Paradise Pizza again, and then the Ice Cream place for Derek!  Even Bob was too full for ice cream!
