Judy was cremated and put in this urn... Her granddaughter Sara painted it....
The verse is a quote from Judy's book "My Life As I Remember It" it says:
The story I have written is about me, Julia Laylon, and the life I have lived in this world.
It is also about my family and the many people that I have met along the way. We are all
unique individual - so let's feel free to be who we are, and lift our wings and soar!
Judy loved butterfly's...

throughout her life....being a Rear Admiral's daughter she traveled to
many countries and states....including China, Manila, Philippines,
and the list goes on and on...

Judy loved butterfly's and the funeral home had butterfly's on their lamp shades!
Tricia & Laura (I used to work with them)
Funny story:!! I haven't seen either of them since
I retired in 2012. I knew Laura had lost a lot of weight
because of Facebook and I knew Tricia had lost some from
"a" picture I had seen of her several months maybe even a
year ago....anyway....I'm sitting in the funeral home and I see
this girl looking at me and she kind of winks at me and I'm like
I must know who this is but for the life of me I can remember
who it was???? Then she starts walking towards me and I start
panicking...who is this? who is this? And all of a sudden she says
"Lynnard (she would call me that at work sometimes" and I knew
immediately "Oh my God! Tricia!??!" She looks amazing!
The two of them are just gorgeous!
Karen & Robin
They don't age...they look the same as they did
when I met them years ago!

"Another" Thank You to Moe!
She graciously offered to play "Amazing Grace" on her
guitar and sang along with it. I wasn't able to get a picture
while she was playing (I whispered to Bob and said I guess it
would be inappropriate to stand up and take a picture of
Moe about now huh?) He just smiled and said yes.
The boys first bath at home!
Andrew was not happy about it!
A little happier...but he's looking like
don't even think about coming near me again!
Cameron was like...fine you going to wash me then I'm
going to give you a reason to and he peed all over himself!
But in the end, all was well :-)
Shew...bathing isn't easy!
I started off in Baltimore this morning with the J-Team. I got a little laundry done, some dishes and cooked up some pasta for them to warm up for later. I then packed and headed north for a couple of days. Today was Judy's Memorial Service and I wanted to get there early so I could spend some time with Bob.
We went up to McComas Funeral Home around noon and set up for the visitation hours. There were lots of pictures to put up and other things to take care of.
The visitation hours were 1 to 3 and 5 to 7. Both were a success with many old friends, acquaintances, and family to pay their final respects.
The service began at 7:00 with Moe playing a guitar and singing a beautiful rendition of, "Amazing Grace." Bob was very appreciative! Pastor Rick from the Bel Air Presbyterian church gave some prayers and reading from Psalms, and then Bob gave a wonderful eulogy.
It was a long day for everyone and bed came easily at 9:00 pm.
